SxPF Print Competition 2010

The Print Competition will be held this year on Sunday March 21st 2010 at Wivelsfield Green Village Hall, Eastern Road, Wivelsield, RH17 7QH, starting at 2:10pm. The afternoon is hosted by Southwick and Storrington clubs, and will be appraised by Frank Page LRPS LMPA. Admission is £3.

Slides Competition

Entries are now invited for the Individual Slides Competition for First Generation Slides. Details of this competition will be published when finalised.

To clarify: this is a competition for individuals who wish to continue entering colour slides into county competitions, and it is for first generation slides only, i.e. digital images output to film are not permitted. Images are due for delivery at the Print Competition (above).

Congratulations to Crawley CC, who became the first winners of the SxPF Projected Digital Images competition, appraised by Clive Tanner FRPS.

Secretary Position Vacancy

After many years of sterling service to the SxPF, Jean Holmwood has decided to retire from the Secretary role. Clubs across the whole county and beyond will, I'm sure, join us in thanking her for the amazing job she has done and wishing her well for the future.

We need a new Secretary ... Please do contact Jean to discuss what the role entails, but it is not onerous. The one thing that we can safely say here is that the Federation cannot function without. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hailsham PS Colour Show

Hailsham Photographic Society are again holding their ever-popular Colour Show on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th March 2010. This is an annual audio-visual presentation by club members and raises important funds for charitable concerns.

Steyning Camera Club are hosting an evening with Iain McGowan FRPS, well-known and highly-respected Sussex photographer, called "A Celebration of Sussex" on 31st March 2010.

Steyning Camera Club's joint Print Exhibition and evening AV event, featuring work from six local clubs: Steyning, Southwick, Worthing, Storrington, Henfield and the Adur Digital Imaging Group, has been postponed until Sunday 23rd May 2010.
