SxPF is here to advance, promote and represent club photography in Sussex. This page contains general information about the Federation and what we do.
Membership is open to ALL camera clubs and amateur photographic organisations in Sussex.
AGM and Forum
The Annual General Meeting is held in May at the close of the season and is open to representatives from all affiliated clubs. The meeting is part of a Forum day, at which all aspects of club photography in Sussex are up for discussion. Alongside the competitions, this event is the key event in the SxPF calendar.
Two inter-club competitions are run each year, in November and March for projected Digital Images PDI and prints respectively. All member clubs are entitled to enter both competitions, and take turns on an organising rota.
The SxPF website is maintained as a membership service for disseminating information about SxPF and club events. We are happy to publish:
- Club exhibitions and special events such as lectures and regional or national competitions
- Notification of SxPF club and / or individual successes at regional or national level
We are unable to publish panels of images or detailed reports. Member clubs’ own websites should be the primary vehicle for your own publicity.
Please send text notification and, for events, a PDF poster to both the Secretary and Webmaster.
Judges and Speakers
We aim to maintain a directory of speakers and judges working in the county. This is currently in the process of being recompiled. We also occasionally run training seminars for judges and speakers, and networking meetings for programme secretaries to share information and experience.
We recognise the wide geographic diversity of clubs in the county, and that member clubs are affiliated to the PAGB through the KCPA, SPA and SCPF.
SxPF is itself affiliated through KCPA.
